Association Will Host Special Event

Nov 16, 2019 - 11:00 am

The public is invited to join staff and volunteers of Green Valleys Watershed Association for an easement anniversary event on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Welkinweir, 1368 Prizer Road, Pottstown.

Attendees will learn more about its history and the mission of Green Valleys, visit and tour the historic estate house, and walk through the surrounding arboretum.

In 1976, Everett and Grace Rodebaugh placed their home, Welkinweir, under conservation easement to provide permanent protection from development and for the public to enjoy the site's natural beauty.

The event is for adults only. Fees for the event are per person, with a discount for Green Valleys members. Registration is required by contacting Dawn White at dwhite@greenvalleys.org or 610-469-8646.

Green Valleys Watershed Association is a nonprofit, conservation organization, located at Welkinweir, a 224-acre nature sanctuary in East Nantmeal Township. For more information, readers may visit http://www.greenvalleys.org.
