On Wednesday, April 17, "Spring Migration in the Mid-Atlantic" will be presented by Derek Stoner at 7 p.m. in the chapel at Lebanon Valley Home, 550 E. Main St., Annville. The program will focus on the spectacle of spring migration, with brightly-colored neo-tropical songbirds arriving and thousands of water birds, shorebirds, and raptors pushing north. Attendees will take a photographic tour through the spring migration season, including images of vibrant-colored warblers, orioles, tanagers, vireos, and more.
A field trip along the Conewago Recreation Trail for the observation of flora and fauna will be offered on Thursday, April 25. Participants will meet at 8 a.m. at the LVRT trail head at Colebrook Rail Trail to carpool. For details, readers may call Fritz Heilman at 717-273-0487.
