The Central Pennsylvania World War II Roundtable will hold its next monthly meeting online via Zoom on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be author and policy strategist Susan Eisenhower.
She will discuss her book about her grandfather's leadership qualities, "How Ike Led: The Principles Behind Eisenhower's Biggest Decisions." The book examines the core set of principles that Ike Eisenhower relied on during his role as supreme allied commander in the European Theater of Operations in World War II and throughout his eight-year term as president of the United States.
Much of Susan's work as a policy analyst has been focused on national security and related strategic issues. In 1986, she founded The Eisenhower Group Inc., a consulting company based in Washington, D.C. For more than 30 years, the company has provided strategic counsel on business development, public affairs, and communications projects. Susan has authored hundreds of op-eds for newspapers such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times.
Susan is chairman emeritus at the Gettysburg College's Eisenhower Institute, where she served as president twice. Currently she holds a yearlong seminar on strategy for competitively selected students through the Eisenhower Institute.
The Zoom meeting is open to the public, and no registration is required. To attend, visit http://www.centralpaww2roundtable.org.
