Award Honorees Announced

YWCA Lancaster recently announced the six honorees for the Women of Achievement Awards. These deserving women are being recognized as women on a mission in their chosen fields and in the community.

The six honorees are Timbrel Adidala, creator and owner of Lush Bazaar, Lancaster; Milzy Carrasco, director of neighborhood engagement, City of Lancaster; Felesha Martin, owner of Turn N/Headz Hair Studio, Lancaster, and founder of Breathe Again, The Sheena Martin Foundation; Fran Rodriguez, senior program officer for Lancaster County Community Foundation; Kesha Morant Williams, Ph.D., associate professor of communication arts and sciences, Penn State Berks; and Kate Zimmerman, executive director of Leadership Lancaster.

These distinguished women will be celebrated at the Women of Achievement Awards luncheon on Friday, Nov. 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Tererai Trent, a scholar, educator, humanitarian, motivational speaker, and author.
