Open tryouts for the Lancaster Barnstormers will be held at the team's home stadium, 650 N. Prince St., Lancaster, on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tryouts will offer a chance for participants to be seen by the coaching staff and other professional staff.
In order to participate in tryouts, players must be age 18 or older and out of high school. Each participant will be required to sign a release of liability waiver.
Position players will attend at 10 a.m. and will be asked to complete a series of activities, including warmups, 60-yard times, infield/outfield play, and batting practice on the field.
Pitchers are asked to report at noon. Pitchers will participate in a scrimmage at 1 p.m., and each pitcher will have the opportunity to pitch one inning.
