The Conewago Rod and Gun Club will conduct a basic pistol course on Sunday, Sept. 13, at its clubhouse, located at 1483 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown.
The course is designed for individuals who have limited or no experience with a handgun. The eight-hour course will teach beginning shooters the fundamental skills needed to own and use a handgun safely and responsibly. It will include instruction in the classroom and on the pistol range. The course will be conducted by an NRA-certified pistol instructor. Minors are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Separate fees for the course have been set for members and for nonmembers. The fee will cover course materials and instruction. Due to the nature of the program, the class size will be limited to eight participants.
