The Conewago Rod and Gun Club, 1483 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown, will conduct a Basic Pistol Course on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the organization's clubhouse.
The course is designed for individuals who have limited experience or no experience with a handgun. The eight-hour course will teach beginning shooters the fundamental skills needed to own and use a handgun safely and responsibly. It will include instruction in the classroom and on the pistol range. The course will be conducted by an NRA-certified pistol instructor. Minors are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Separate fees for the course have been set for club members and for nonmembers. The fee includes course materials and instruction. Due to the nature of the program, class size is limited to eight participants.
