Bell Socialization Services Inc. presented the Rita Patz Good Neighbor Award to Bob's West End News at Bell's annual meeting held on Oct. 2, 2018, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York. The accolade is awarded to the individual or group that depicts not only being a neighbor of Bell Socialization Services Inc., but also being close in association by providing neighborly time and/or resources to Bell.
The owners and staff of Bob's West End News, a small business in West York, were recognized for providing great customer service to Bell's Mental Health Social Rehabilitation programs. The business offered discounts and donations to help the program stretch its budget, and it contributed to the program's gatherings for staff members and service users.
Bell Socialization Services Inc. is a 501(c)(3) human services agency based in York. The agency provides housing and living skills supports to individuals living with mental illness, people with intellectual disabilities, and homeless families. Since 1966, Bell programs has been working to provide an environment of support and empowerment to help people throughout the greater York/Hanover area improve their quality of living.
