YWCA Lancaster has announced the appointment of Stacie Blake as its new CEO. Blake began work at the agency in early September.
Blake has more than 15 years of senior management experience at the local, state, and national levels in the social sector. Her background includes leading a variety of social service agencies and programs in multiple states. Most recently she served as the director of government and community relations with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in Washington, D.C.
YWCA Lancaster is dedicated to the elimination of racism, the empowerment of women, and the promotion of peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Since 1889, it has served children and adults in the community through a variety of programs. Current offerings include the Racial Justice Institute; residential programs for low- and moderate-income women and their families; child care for ages six weeks to 5 years and before- and after-school care in a number of settings; free, professional counseling for survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones; training programs to prevent sexual violence and harassment; and TechGYRLS, offering science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities for girls ages 9 to 14.
