The City of York's Redevelopment Authority Board approved the York Plan 2.0 Innovation District project in the Northwest Triangle, which will significantly reshape the surrounding area's landscape with the purpose of creating jobs, increasing traffic to local businesses, and expanding the city's tax base. The York Plan 2.0 Innovation District is a reimagined vision for a technology-based innovation hub in a four-acre area in the city known as the Northwest Triangle. It is part of a larger vision to help marshal resources, talents, and partners to build the world's first robotics manufacturing ecosystem.
The site, which sits in an Opportunity Zone, will house space for robotics companies, research and development, advanced industries, co-working spaces, affordable housing, and retail shops.
