Boating Safety Course Posted

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer the Pennsylvania Safe Boating Course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, along the river at the Coast Guard Auxiliary base, 1960 Long Level Road, Wrightsville. People who score at least 80% on the test for this eight-hour course are eligible to receive the Boating Safety Education Certificate, which is required to operate a personal watercraft on Pennsylvania waters or to operate any vessel with an engine of 25 or greater horsepower.

To register before Thursday, Aug. 26, readers should email aharriso@ycp.edu and include their complete name, address and age and a statement of their boating experience. The registration fee is payable on the day of the course. The course will have a working lunch, and registrants should bring their own lunch.
