A special end-of-summer book sale will take place on the lower level of the Moores Memorial Library, 9 W. Slokom Ave., Christiana, on Wednesday, July 31, through Friday, Aug. 2, during regular library hours. Thousands of almost new books will be on sale at deeply discounted prices during the sale.
The sale will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday and from 1 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Friends of the Moores Memorial Library volunteers will clean and sort the books before they are offered for sale to the public.
The Friends' used bookstore, the Read Moore Bookstore, is open weekdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays during library hours. Patrons may also request access during other hours as staff is available.
In addition to popular fiction and nonfiction titles, the store carries a large assortment of children and young adult literature, home school materials, cookbooks, inspirational literature, DVDs and collectible books.
