Bookworm Frolic Scheduled

The Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society (LMHS), 2215 Millstream Road, Lancaster, will hold its annual Bookworm Frolic. The annual sale of used books will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, through Friday, Aug. 16, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The sale will feature approximately 40,000 books in 22 categories, including fiction, children's literature, travel, music, and history.

Separate fees have been set for hardback books and for paperback books. Everything will be half-price on Aug. 17. On Aug. 16 and 17, there will be a box deal, with separate fees per box on Friday and on Saturday. The sale will also include records, CDs, and DVDs, which will also be included in the half-price and box deals.

The event will be held rain or shine under a tent. A food truck, TJ's Ice Cream, will offer refreshments on Aug. 14. LMHS' bookstore will be open as usual, selling new and used books, folk art, music, and family history resources.

Proceeds from the event will support LMHS' mission to hold, honor, and share items and stories featuring the lived experiences and faith values of Lancaster Mennonites and interrelated communities.
