Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 36 Church St., Rothsville, will host the Keystone Brass Quintet in concert on Sunday, March 31, at 3 p.m. The event is part of the church's 2018-19 Music at Jerusalem Concert Series.
Founded in the fall of 1976, the Keystone Brass Quintet has performed programs for churches, colleges, schools, and numerous summer music series in the tri-state area. The ensemble's repertoire consists of music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, romantic melodies, Broadway show tunes, big band music, marches, jazz selections, and arrangements of gospel songs and spirituals. Members of the quintet are Jason Robinson and Peter Johnston, trumpets; Steve Burg, French horn; Mark Hartman, trombone; and George DeMers, tuba.
Included in the March 31 program will be "Radetzky March" by Johann Strauss Sr., "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin, "Ain't Misbehavin'" by Fats Waller, "George M. Cohan Medley" arranged by Paul Nagle, "Washington Post March" by John Philip Sousa, and "Maria," "Tonight," and "I Feel Pretty" from Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story."
A freewill offering will be received during intermission. Handicapped-accessible parking is available on the right side of the building, with elevator access through the glass entrance doors under the canopy.
