Campbelltown Community Alliance (CCA) has announced that Palmyra Area High School broadcast journalism students are developing a video documentary about the village of Campbelltown.
"Voices of Campbelltown: A Glimpse Into the Past" will be shown on Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. at Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company, 2849 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown, in the Music Academy auditorium. The public is invited.
CCA members located former and present residents who grew up in Campbelltown and have much to share about village community life and the growth the village experienced time. Partnering with the students makes it possible to preserve and learn from the interviewees' remembrances.
The first interviews conducted by the students were hosted by the Londonderry Inn Bed and Breakfast, a 19th-century mercantile store and home of the Brunner family. Students also interviewed other key members of the community and historians who have researched Campbelltown's history.
