The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU), Harrisburg Chapter, welcomes any union member or retiree to attend its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the AFSCME Conference Center, 150 S. 43rd St., Harrisburg. The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month for the purpose of empowering participants through education and collaborative action.
President Shirley Yates offers a special invitation to labor union members under age 40 to attend the meeting, visit the "CBTU Under 40 Leaders" Facebook page, or visit http://www.cbtu.org. They are also invited to engage in ways to make political, economic, and social systems more relevant to working families and the community.
