Students from Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), a Pennsylvania public cyber charter school, had the oppportunity to participate in more than 20 educational field trips across the state in February, gaining hands-on experience in history- and science-related careers.
Students in kindergarten through 12th grades and their families visited destinations throughout the commonwealth to work with subject matter and industry experts to put into practice and supplement what they learned through CCA's live classroom and guided lessons.
In February, students traveled to a wolf sanctuary in Lititz, Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, a STEM fair at Penn State Behrend in Erie, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Danville, a pizza kitchen in Carlisle in Cumberland County, and the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia.
Each year, CCA offers students more than 500 field trips across Pennsylvania for both social and educational activities. To learn more about CCA's field trips, readers may visit https://ccaeducate.me/why-cca/socialization-opportunities/field-trips.
