Crispus Attucks York will host its 37th annual Cultural Thanksgiving Celebration and Rising STARS Awards on Monday, Nov. 23. The Rising STARS Awards honor community members who have positively impacted the lives of youths in York's community.
The Rising STARS staff and participants nominated several individuals and/or companies to receive an award. The nominees are Richard Craighead, Christine Feliciano, Tzipporah Goins, Anna Mercado, Arlette Morales, Laquinn Thompson, and Marshalls/TJX Foundation.
The event will take place virtually via Zoom and will be streamed live via Crispus Attucks York's Facebook page. The event will begin at 5 p.m.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, free grab-and-go dinners will be available for members of the community to enjoy at home. The dinners will be available for pickup at Crispus Attucks York, 605 S. Duke St., York, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 23. Individuals interested in reserving a dinner for pickup may contact Phil Drayden at 717-848-3610, ext. 279, by Thursday, Nov. 19.
