Center Continues To Help Members

Since Arch Street Center closed its doors on March 18, it has provided 2,071 lunches to its members and to people who rely on community meals. The center will continue this service as long as it is able to do so.

Many supporters have donated beverages, cutlery, to-go containers, food, sandwich bags, and more. Financial donations have enabled the center to purchase supplies and keep the operations moving forward. Arch Street Center expressed special appreciation for Cabbage Hill Church, Highland Presbyterian Church, an anonymous donor, the Lilly Family, and Wes and Linda Neumann for providing lunches for Arch Street Center guests. Also, local restaurants 551 West and Taco Del Soul have offered deeply discounted lunches for Arch Street Center members.

Readers interested in preparing or purchasing lunch for center guests may contact Brad at 717-392-8536 or Susanne at smateria@archstreetcenter.org.

In addition, Arch Street Center has announced the cancellation of the 30th annual Fishbowl Fundraiser, which had been postponed until Sunday, Sept. 13, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will not be held in 2020, but the center hopes to host this fundraiser in 2021.
