Chapel Will Host Aleman

May 19, 2019 - 10:15 am

Gospel singer Dusty Aleman will perform in concert at Grace Chapel, 2535 Colebrook Road, Elizabethtown, on Sunday, May 19, at the 10:15 a.m. service.

Dusty grew up in a small town in southcentral Texas. After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the Army and spent a tour in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. He started participating in rodeos when he returned from Vietnam, and other jobs included working construction and driving trucks.

After numerous failed relationships, including two marriages, and experimentation with illegal substances, Dusty moved to Oklahoma in July 1984 with the hope of starting a new life. In September 1984, he twice attempted to take his own life, but he realized God had other plans for him. In October, Dusty met Myrna, and they were married the following year. In 1989, Dusty accepted Jesus. In his life before Christ, Dusty had sung at dances, clubs, and bars. He loved to sing and decided to use music to share the Gospel.
