"Chavela" Slated At Ware Center

The Arts at Millersville will present the On Screen/In Person documentary film "Chavela" on Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42. N. Prince St., Lancaster. The evening will begin at 6:15 p.m. in Steinman Hall with a community panel discussion, followed by the screening and a question-and-answer session with film director Daresha Kyi.

The film explores the life of Costa Rican singer Chavela Vargas. Centered on exclusive interview footage of Vargas shot in 1991, "Chavela" shares stories that others have told about Vargas and those she told about herself.
