The Children's Discovery Series will offer children ages 6 to 12 the opportunity to connect to the Horn Farm. The four-part series will begin on Sunday, April 28, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Through positive experiences outdoors, children will develop their love of nature and a foundation for the development of responsible environmental behavior. Children may be registered for any or all sessions.

Junior Naturalist Training will be offered from Monday, July 29, to Wednesday, July 31. Building Backyard Habitats will explore the Horn Farm Center through the eyes of a favorite critter and is designed for children ages 9 to 11. Building Community Habitats, open to teens ages 12 to 14, will offer an opportunity to collaborate with fellow naturalists to design a simulated Horn Farm Village community master plan that meets the habitat needs of wildlife and the people that call it home.

Where the Wild Things Grow, a summer program for youths ages 6 to 12, will meet once a week for four weeks to explore the wild edges of the farm and cultivated gardens. The program will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays, July 18 to Aug. 8. All activities will be held outdoors in all weather.
