Church Plans Breakfast, Service

ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Ave., York, will host a free breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a Thanksgiving worship service at 10:15 a.m. The community is invited to attend.

Members and guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item, such as canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, and instant potatoes, to be donated to the Eastern York Food Pantry. Attendees of all ages will have the opportunity to give thanks. Pastor Lee Nanfelt's message will focus on "Blessings of Forgiveness and Creation" from Psalm 65. Child care will be available for children age 4 and under. Activity bags will be available for children age 5 and up.

ValleyView Alliance Church participates in the food pantry, which is run cooperatively by area churches. The church also takes part in Blessings of Hope, a surplus food distribution ministry, and many community-based member initiatives, including Bible Adventures, Christian Motorcycle Association, Gideons, Human Life Services, Lifecycles, Logos Academy, and the Youth Development Center.
