Church Plans Dinner, Auction

Oct 19, 2019 - 5:30 pm

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 W. Springettsbury Ave., York, will hold a Wine Harvest Dinner and Art Auction on Saturday, Oct. 19. When the event begins at 5:30 p.m., attendees may view the art and silent auction items. The viewing time will be followed by dinner and the auction.

Proceeds from this event will support the food pantry ministry at St. Paul's. This ministry has been available to the local neighborhood for more than 30 years, and the pantry was recently renovated. Approximately 50 volunteers work in the pantry and each month help to serve more than 100 families that live in the neighborhood.

The Harvest Dinner will be prepared by guest chef Brandon Hufnagel of the Glen Rock Mill Inn. The menu will feature locally sourced ingredients, and each course will be complemented by a beverage.

The event will include a silent auction as well as a live auction. The live auction will consist of original artwork donated by Pastor Reep. This artwork was used for a calendar that was sold to raise funds for the food pantry.

A limited number of tickets are available for the dinner and auction. To purchase tickets, readers may call 717-843-8155. Ample parking is available in the two church lots, at Kuhner Associates, and on George Street and Springettsbury Avenue. Information about the church's events and programs is available at http://www.stpaulsyork.org.
