St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 655 S. 10th St., Columbia, will host its annual spaghetti dinner on Saturday, April 27, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Keri Kopp, Jim Lease, and Peg Shenberger will prepare the spaghetti sauce and salad dressing using family recipes. The meal will include spaghetti and meat sauce, tossed salad, bread rolls, dessert, and beverages.
Approximately 30 volunteers who are members and friends of St. James Lutheran Church will pitch in to help serve and prepare the meal. St. James Lutheran Church is handicapped-accessible and will be decorated to look like an Italian restaurant.
Separate costs have been set for adults and for children ages 4 to 10. Tickets are available at the church and by calling the church at 717-684-5135 or Cathie Miller at 717-684-2096. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the event.
Last year the church served about 250 meals, with the proceeds going to various community programs and organizations. Worship services at St. James are held every Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m., with a Sunday school for adults and children at 9:15 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
