Christ United Methodist Church of Yorkana, 5 Main St., Yorkana, will hold a daytime "Gotta Move" vacation Bible school (VBS) from Monday to Friday, July 8 to 12, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Children age 4 through grade six are invited.
The event will include music videos, Bible lessons, crafts, games, memory verses, snacks, and live skits. Incentives for perfect attendance, preregistration and bringing friends will include entry into drawings for gift certificates to Sky Zone or tickets to a York Revolution baseball game.
The church will hold a VBS celebration on Sunday, July 14, during the 10:30 a.m. contemporary worship service. Following the service, selected children will get to "egg" the master of ceremonies. Children with perfect attendance may join in a silly string battle and preschoolers will play with a parachute. A light lunch and ice cream will be available for everyone after the service.
