Lampeter Church of the Brethren, 1900 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, will host two classes from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Wednesdays, Oct. 2 to Nov. 20.
A parenting class titled "Parenting the Love and Logic Way" will provide strategies for avoiding arguments, setting enforceable limits, teaching accountability, and helping children learn from their mistakes. Skills taught in the class are intended to help parents raise responsible children, have more fun in their role, and strengthen their relationships with the children in their lives. This class is facilitated by COBYS and will meet in room 305. Readers may call 717-464-2050 to register.
Additionally, the church will host "Leading Men: Historic Lancaster, PA," a weekly PowerPoint series. Robert Frick, historian and presenter, will share about the lives and times of 22 historic downtown Lancaster residents. Grouped into six categories, the brief biographies will demonstrate the critical roles these figures played in Lancaster history.
