Palmyra First United Methodist Church, 520 E. Birch St., has announced the upcoming installation of a new pastor, the Rev. James Anderman. All congregation and community members are invited to the installation on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 3 p.m. at the church. Parking is accessible in the lot on Franklin Street.
Anderman began his ministry at the church on July 1. A graduate of Lebanon High School and Lycoming College, he became a licensed local pastor in 1992 and completed his Master of Divinity in 1996 at Moravian Theological Seminary, Bethlehem. Anderman arrives in Palmyra with 27 years in ministry in various churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is the son of the Rev. Thomas Anderman, who served as pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lebanon from 1968 to 1975.
