The churches of the Pleasant Water's United Methodist Charge - consisting of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church (UMC) and Water's Edge UMC - have announced an Ash Wednesday worship service and midweek Lenten services.
The Ash Wednesday worship service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary at Pleasant Grove UMC, 900 Pleasant Grove Road, Red Lion.
Pleasant Water's United Methodist Charge will join together with Bethel UMC, 1674 Furnace Road, Brogue, to conduct midweek Lenten services beginning on Sunday, March 6. The theme will be "Words to Live By." Bethel UMC will host services at 4 p.m. on Sundays from March 6 to April 3. Services will also take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Water's Edge UMC, 471 Abels Road, Wrightsville, will host the services on March 9, March 23 and April 6, and Pleasant Grove UMC will host on March 16 and March 30.
