The National Civil War Museum (NCWM), 1 Lincoln Circle at Reservoir Park, Harrisburg, reopened to the public on June 19.
The NCWM has made changes in operating procedures to follow safe practices as directed by the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines. It has cleaned and sanitized all public areas of the museum and will work diligently to adhere to current social distancing mandates.
Some of the changes implemented by the museum include enabling the repurchase of tickets at http://www.nationalcivilwarmuseum.org, monitoring the number of visitors to ensure proper distancing, and ensuring visitors and staff have minimal contact. Wearing face masks will be required.
The museum will operate on a modified schedule from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The museum will operate on regular business hours for most holidays, but will close on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
