The Lancaster Civil War Roundtable will present "Rally 'Round the Flag: Colorbearers at Gettysburg" on Thursday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road. Educator and historian Daniel Welch will lead the presentation.
Welch is a primary and secondary educator with a public school district in northeast Ohio. Previously he was the education programs coordinator for the Gettysburg Foundation, and he has been a seasonal interpretive park ranger at Gettysburg National Military Park for eight years. He is the author of "The Last Road North: A Guide to the Gettysburg Campaign, 1863." He is currently finishing his Master of Arts in military history with a Civil War era concentration at American Military University. He resides with his wife, Sarah, in Boardman, Ohio.
