The sixth annual Conestoga Classic Car Show has been set for Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street in Conestoga. Every paid entrant will receive a lunch voucher. The first 200 vehicles will receive a souvenir dash plaque and a goodie bag from the First Responders Friends (FRF), which is hosting the event. Ten trophies will be awarded this year. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite vehicle, and the winner of the People's Choice award will have photos of their vehicle used in advertising and promotional materials for the 2020 show.
The vehicles will be parked along Main Street, which will be closed between Sand Hill Road and Rineer Road, while the event hub will be located at Conestoga Volunteer Fire Company, 3290 Main St., Conestoga. The fire company will offer chicken corn soup, burgers, hot dogs, fries, ice cream and beverages for purchase. Vendors of nonfood items will set up booths in front of the fire company.
Additionally, event T-shirts will be for sale, and Lancaster Barnstormers mascot Cylo will visit. A disc jockey will play oldies music, and attendees may enter to win gift baskets and drawings.
The proceeds from the event will primarily go to the Conestoga Volunteer Fire Company. Readers may contact Rich Graham at 717-917-6500 or firstrespondersfriends@gmail.com for more information.
