To help protect Pennsylvanians' health and safety and to adhere to current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful canceled all cleanup and community improvement programs that were scheduled for the spring, including its signature program, Pick Up Pennsylvania. The group is looking ahead to its fall cleanup campaign.
Pick Up Pennsylvania, in support of the International Coastal Cleanup and Great American Cleanup, is tentatively planned for Tuesday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Nov. 30. Focus days will include International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 26; however, cleanup support will be available throughout the three-month period.
Information on the availability of cleanup supplies and supply distribution details will be communicated as they become available. Groups and individuals who had cleanups or community improvement events planned for this past spring are encouraged to register those events with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful's Pick Up Pennsylvania fall program.
