A virtual 4-H Cloverbuds summer camp for children ages 5 to 7 will be offered from Monday to Friday, July 20 to 24. There is no fee to participate.
The camp will be conducted daily by Miss Patti and Miss Kaila through a private Zoom meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. Campers will do activities together for an hour, and afterward, the children will be free to do the self-guided bonus camp activities on their own. Each day a new theme will be explored in the areas of hobbies, storytelling, pet show, animal habitats, bugs, butterflies, worms and spiders.
To register a child, readers may email Patti Van Brederode at pev3@psu.edu or call the Lancaster County Extension Office at 717-394-6851 through Friday, July 10. Log-in information for the Zoom meetings will be provided at the time of registration.
Children must be ages 5 to 7 as of Jan. 1. Parents or a responsible adult are asked to participate with registered youths to help with computer technology and activities. Participants will receive supplies for two projects in the mail, and activity templates will be emailed, so a parent or caregiver must have an email. A list of other materials needed that are commonly found at home, such as crayons and scissors, will also be emailed.
