Club Will Hold Dinner Auction

On Saturday, March 2, the Kiwanis Club of Norlanco-Rheems will hold its "Denim and Diamonds" dinner auction at Acorn Farms Reception and Conference Center, 3141 Mount Joy Road, Mount Joy. At the dinner, attendees will learn more about the club's vision and plans for a new pavilion at Kunkle Field in Mount Joy.

Appetizers will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m., and dinner stations, including a carving station featuring London broil and ham, a pasta station, and a dessert station, will be open at 7 p.m. Beverages will also be available. Silent and live auctions will start at 8 p.m. to help raise the funds needed to make the pavilion a reality.

Kunkle Field is used extensively throughout the year for baseball and other activities. The Kiwanis Club's goal is to install a new large picnic pavilion in the park for community members who visit the area during warmer months. The club has already put the wheels in motion.

Attire may be business casual or in keeping with the event theme. The deadline to purchase tickets is Saturday, Feb. 23. Tickets are on sale for a set price per person by visiting the Kiwanis Club of Norlanco-Rheems Facebook page and clicking on the Events tab, visiting https://kiwanisdenim.eventbrite.com, or calling Judy Raub at 717-492-9171. Various sponsorship levels are available, as well. All donations are tax-deductible.

The Kiwanis Club of Norlanco-Rheems is part of Kiwanis International, a global community of clubs, members, and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time.
