The Community Calendar is a weekly feature of the Community Courier.
Local clubs, civic organizations, nonprofit agencies, schools, etc., that would like to have events or meeting date information published, should contact the Community Courier in writing at least two weeks before the event. No items will be accepted over the phone.

Support Group
St. Benedict's Bereavement Support Group for those grieving the death of a loved one will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center, Room #1. The meetings are free and nondenominational.

Neighbors Meeting
Neighbors Caring and Sharing, a Christian women's group that meets weekly at Conestoga Mennonite Church in Morgantown, will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 9:15 to 11 a.m. The DVD study by Priscilla Shier, titled "Sizing up the Enemy," will be the program. This will be the first part of a seven-part series.

Thrift Shop, Bazaar
Coventryville United Methodist Church's Thrift Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the church's annual Christmas bazaar. When shopping, visitors should be masked and prepared to socially distance, which could mean limiting the number of patrons in the shop at one time.
This year, the bazaar will be an outdoors Christmas event, and facemasks will be required. Featured will be breakfast and lunch to go; baked goods, including a free cookie for children; silent auction collections; attic treasures, including a free toy for children; tree trimmings; plants; and thrift items.

Soup Sale, Bazaar
St. Peter United Church of Christ, 1920 Ridge Road (Route 23), Knauertown, will hold a soup sale on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in conjunction with the church's Christmas bazaar.
Preorders are now being taken. Those who would like to purchase soup should call the church office at 610-469-9690 or email stpeterucc@stpeterucc.org, leave their name and phone number and their choice of soups. Selections are chicken corn, Italian beef vegetable, sausage potato and spinach, pumpkin cheese and chicken tortilla
Soup will be sold by the quart and pint. Quantities are limited.
The annual Christmas bazaar will feature crafts, a silent auction and a sale of baked goods. Breakfast and lunch will be served to go. Outside flea market spaces are available; vendors must bring their own tables. Masks will be required to enter the bazaar. For more information, call the church office.
Free Thanksgiving Meal
St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St., New Holland, will host its 27th annual free community Thanksgiving Day meal in a reimagined format on Thursday, Nov. 26, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Although a dine-in meal will not be possible, the church will offer pickup meals at the front entrance and home delivery for residents living in Eastern Lancaster County School District who have special needs and/or are homebound.
A traditional Thanksgiving Day meal will be prepared by Yoder's Country Market. Reservations are required for both pickup and delivery. Call 717-354-7871 by Tuesday, Nov. 17, for reservations and additional details.
