The Community Calendar is a weekly feature of the Community Courier.
Local clubs, civic organizations, nonprofit agencies, schools, etc., that would like to have events or meeting date information published, should contact the Community Courier in writing at least two weeks before the event. No items will be accepted over the phone.

Breakfast With The Bible
Alan Lindsay, senior warden of the Church of Saint Mary at Calvary in Elverson, will host Breakfast With the Bible on Friday, Aug. 30, at 8:30 a.m. at the Morgantown Coffee House, 4997 N. Twin Valley Road, Elverson.
Attendees should bring a Bible and may enjoy coffee, tea, and/or breakfast. The community is invited to participate.
Community Dinner
St. Peter United Church of Christ, 1920 Ridge Road (Route 23), Knauertown, will hold a community dinner on Friday, Aug. 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy food and fellowship.
The church holds the dinners on the last Friday of each month. Next month's dinner will take place on Sept. 27.

"Flying Fur" Screening
LaMancha Animal Rescue and Flying Fur Rescue will present an outdoor screening of the documentary "Flying Fur" on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 8 p.m. at the Waynebrook Inn, routes 322 and 10, Honey Brook.
Flying Fur pilot Paul Steklenski and Woody, stars of the film, will be in attendance. Ticket sales will be split between both rescues. Additional donations will be accepted for the rescues.

Car Wash
Members of Trail Life Troop 1:9 will hold a car wash on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sonic Drive-In, 850 Crossings Blvd., Elverson. Cars will be washed for a donation to the troop.

Hike
The Berks Strollers will hike the Muhlenberg Rail Trail on Saturday, Aug. 31. The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. the parking lot off Montrose Avenue in Laureldale.

TOPS Meeting
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a nonprofit weight loss support group, will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at The Torch Community Center, located in the Clock Tower Plaza in Morgantown. Mud Run
OneRunTogether will hold its eighth annual Hard to the Core 5K Orchard Mud Run at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Weaver's Orchard, 40 Fruit Lane, Morgantown. Participants will run through apple and peach trees, a vineyard, a Christmas tree farm, mudholes, hay bale obstacles, and more. The course will end at the pond with a live rock band and an apple pancake breakfast.

Support Group
St. Benedict's Bereavement Support Group will meet on Wednesdays, Sept. 11 to Oct. 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Family Life Center, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton. The group, which is for those who are grieving the death of a loved one, provides an opportunity for people to come together to work through the grieving process with the help and support of others.

Story Time

Fall Festival
St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, will host its Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the church campus. Featured will be food, including funnel cakes, candy corn and other festival foods, as well as a moon bounce, children's train ride and games with prizes.
Dave Kline and the Mountain Folk Trio will provide music between 11:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
A Macaroni and Cheese Cook-Off will be featured with judging by local food experts. Deadline for entering the mac and cheese event is Monday, Sept. 9

Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic Elementary School, 2875 West Manor Road, West Brandywine, is looking for crafters and vendors for its craft/vendor show on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
