Community Calendar

The Community Calendar is a weekly feature of the Community Courier.

Local clubs, civic organizations, nonprofit agencies, schools, etc., that would like to have events or meeting date information published, should contact the Community Courier in writing at least two weeks before the event. No items will be accepted over the phone.

Women's Club

The Honey Brook Women's Club will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike. Honey Brook. All women are welcome.

Quilt Guild

The Calico Cutters Quilt Guild will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 13, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Goshen Fire Company, 1320 Park Ave., West Chester. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

The program this month will feature Judith Baker Montano speaking on the history of "crazy quilts." A fee has been set for guests.

Senior Connections

Senior Connections will meet at noon on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, for a free Thanksgiving meal.

The meal will be followed by a program of praise and thanksgiving. Attendees may share if they like.

Individuals age 60 and older are invited to attend.

Senior Citizens Meeting

The next Honey Brook Senior Citizens meeting will be held at Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 11:30 a.m. The program will be "Games and Fellowship."

Food volunteers are reminded to bring their specific items. All seniors are invited to attend.

Good News Club

Children are invited to attend a meeting of the Good News Club on Thursday, Nov. 14 and every Thursday after school, at Twin Valley Elementary Center, 50 Mast Drive, Elverson.

The children will enjoy games, singing, Bible stories and verses. The club is free, and all students are welcome.

Bingo

St. Benedict's Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, will present a cash bingo event on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 10 p.m. Featured will be cash prizes, 15 door prizes and an opportunity to win gift baskets. There will also be hot food served, as well as soda and water. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Christmas Bazaar

Morgantown Community Church (MCC), 4221 Main St. (Route 23), Elverson, will hold a Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year's bazaar is a fundraiser for MCC's upcoming youth mission activities.

The event will feature vendors offering handcrafted items such as scarves and jewelry. Also offered will be beauty products, books and home decor. Hike At Preserve

The Berks Strollers will hike at the Birch Run Forest and Land Preserve in West Caln Township on Saturday, Nov. 16. The group will meet at 10 a.m. at the Clock Tower Plaza, located at routes 10 and 23 in Morgantown.

Line Dancing, Yoga

Living God Lutheran Church, 3200 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, will offer easy yoga classes and line dancing on Sundays, Nov. 17 and 24. Yoga classes will be from 3 to 4 p.m., and line dancing will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

TOPS Meeting

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a nonprofit weight loss support group, will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at The Torch Community Center, located in the Clock Tower Plaza in Morgantown. Christmas Bazaar

Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Road, Coatesville, will hold its annual Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Featured will be crafts, a silent auction and attic treasures. Soup and sandwiches will be available to purchase.
