The G.F.W.C. Elizabeth Hughes Society will sponsor a community health screen, performed by Quest Diagnostics, on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at the Elizabethtown Senior Center, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown.
There is a cost for the health screen, a preventive health program that consists of comprehensive blood testing. The testing includes checks of Complete Blood Count (CBC), HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), electrolytes, and glucose, as well as kidney, liver, and coronary risk profiles. Optional tests that can be added for extra fees include PSA (prostate screening), TSH (thyroid screening), and Vitamin D.
Individuals will have a copy of their blood test results mailed to them.
Payment may be made by cash, check, or money order at the time of service. To preregister, readers may call 800-776-6342 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.
