Community REACH Sets Programs

Community REACH Inc., 15 First Ave., Red Lion, will offer free programs designed for the community served by the Dallastown, Eastern, and Red Lion school districts. Managing My Money Mondays will continue, and registration is required. On Nov. 11, Lisa Barshinger will present a free credit health check-up, with sessions from 10 a.m. to noon, 2 to 4 p.m., and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. On Nov. 18, Sherrie Horton will present "Let's Talk Credit" from 6 to 7 p.m., and on Nov. 25, she will present "Digital Workshop" from 10 to 11 a.m.

An English Language Learning (ELL) class will take place on Thursdays, Nov. 7 and 14, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Albert Storm will instruct the class. Registration is required.

Stacy Pearl, community health educator with UPMC Memorial, will present "Eight Dimensions of Wellness" on Nov. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m. Registration is required.

Sam Neff will present "Computers and Technology for Beginners" on Thursdays, Nov. 7, 14, and 21, from 3 to 4 p.m.; computers will be available to use. Additionally, Stepheni Anderson will present the class on Nov. 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. Registration is required. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

Cindy Foor, Recruiter II - ECORE, will present "Job Searching: 10 Things Every Job Seeker Should Know" on Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. Registration is required. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, the Manufacturers' Association will conduct a walk-in format information session from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees will receive information about employment opportunities. No registration is required. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

Terri Rentzel will present a Let's Talk Turkey class on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Attendees will learn how to prepare a turkey, and they will receive recipes and tips.

UPMC Memorial will share about employment opportunities during a walk-in format event on Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. No registration is required.

Essential Skills for Employment will be presented on Friday, Nov. 15, from 10 to 11 a.m. by instructors Gerry Mentz, director of student services, and Dylan Maxwell, career services coordinator, Adult and Continuing Education Center, York County School of Technology. Registration is required, and parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

Food Handler Training for Food Banking will be presented by Central Pennsylvania Food Bank on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration is required.

Stess-Relieving Techniques will be instructed by Beth Miller, licensed practical nurse and home health liaison with OSS Health at Home, on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Essential Skills for Employment will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. Deb March, human resources specialist for OSS Health, will be the instructor.
