Community REACH Sets Programs

Community REACH Inc., located in the Ruth Ann Young Center, 15 First Ave., Red Lion, will offer four free programs designed for the community served by the Dallastown Area, Eastern York, and Red Lion Area school districts. Parking is available across the street from the center. Registration, when required, may be completed by stopping by Community REACH, calling 717-244-6934, or clicking on the Education tab at http://www.commreach.org.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, Cindy Foor from Ecore International will share information about Ecore International, 76 Acco Drive, York. The event will feature a walk-in format that will allow attendees to become informed about the international company located in York. Registration is not required.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon, Tabatha Valenti, nutrition education adviser, Penn State Extension, will present "Nutrition Information About Fruits and Vegetables." Free samples and recipes will be available to all who attend. The event will feature a walk-in format, so no registration is required.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, from 3 to 4 p.m., instructor Sam Neff will share "Computers and Technology for Beginners." The session will focus on mouse and touch pad operation, an explanation of the computer desktop, and selecting programs for icons. Computers will be provided for the class. Registration is required.

On Friday, Oct. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m., Carla Myers, director of human resources for the Eastern York School District, will present "Essential Skills for Employment." Participants will learn about current topics important for employability. Registration is required.
