Community REACH Sets Schedule

Community REACH Inc., 15 First Ave., Red Lion, will offer free programs designed for the community served by the Dallastown, Eastern, and Red Lion school districts. On Monday, Nov. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m., JoEllen Hynson from Northwest Bank will present on fraud prevention, including fraud that targets seniors. She will share what to look for in a counterfeit bill, as well as facts about currency and fraud. Light refreshments will be served, and registration is required.

Also on Nov. 4, Lisa Barshinger from First Capital Credit Union will present "Couponing 101" as part of First Capital's Dinner and Learn series. Dinner will start at 6 p.m., and the program will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The presentation will also highlight coupon policies at four major retailers and offer organizational tips.

Stepheni Anderson, admissions counselor at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, will present a resume/interview assistance and education opportunities session on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will feature a walk-in format, and no registration is required. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

An English Language Learning (ELL) class will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Albert Storm will instruct the class, which will focus on learning the English language in small group and individual formats. Registration is required.

Stacy Pearl, community health educator with UPMC Memorial, will present "Eight Dimensions of Wellness" on Nov. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m. Registration is required.

Sam Neff will present "Computers and Technology for Beginners," a continuation of the October classes, on Nov. 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. Computers will be provided. Registration is required. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

Cindy Foor, Recruiter II - ECORE, will present "Job Searching: 10 Things Every Job Seeker Should Know" on Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. Registration is required. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center.

Community REACH, in partnership with the York County Literacy Council, will offer free High School Equivalency classes starting in January 2020 at the new Community REACH classroom in Red Lion. Interested individuals may obtain more information by visiting or calling Community REACH.
