Two community safety events will take place at Huffnagle Park, 20 Oak Lane, Quarryville, on Saturday, May 21. The public is invited to attend. For details, visit http://www.quarryvillepolicefoundation.org.
A free Bike Rodeo for children ages 4 to 12 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Children may have their bicycles and helmets inspected and fitted and then ride through a skills course to learn bike safety techniques. All participants must bring their own bike and helmet to the event.
A car seat safety check will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members of the Quarryville Borough Police Department will provide the safety checks. Attendees may also register for a chance to win a free car seat. No appointment is necessary.
