Concert, Art Exhibit Planned

The Arts at Millersville will present two events.

Solo pianist Brad Minnig will perform on Friday, July 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster. The free concert is part of the We the People First Friday series.

Minnig will play "America the Beautiful," "The Star Spangled Banner," and a few original compositions. The first set of this two-part concert will take place from 6:30 to 7 p.m., with the second set from 7:30 to 7:50 p.m. Minnig is a self-taught pianist who writes and performs original music, and also plays a variety of genres by other composers. He has recently garnered media attention for his advocacy of music as a creative outlet for people like him, who are on the autism spectrum.

"American Portrait," a photography exhibit by Jenny Schulder Brant, will run from July 5 through Friday, July 26, in Regitz Gallery at the Ware Center. An opening reception will take place on July 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The gallery is open on weekdays during business hours.
