Pequea E.C. Church, 5482 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, will host a concert titled "Then Sings My Soul: Beloved Hymns and Songs Inspired by the Ministry of Billy Graham" on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 6:30 p.m.
"Then Sings My Soul," an original musical presentation by LeeP Productions, features four professional vocalists from the Lancaster area. Highlighting historical moments in the Rev. Billy Graham's ministry, the program shares the history behind more than 30 well-known hymns, many of which were written as a result of tragic and trying circumstances. Selections include "How Great Thou Art," "I'd Rather Have Jesus," "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" and "Just As I Am." The production also includes an old-fashioned hymn sing. The performers seek not only to entertain audiences, but also to educate them on hymns and their histories, as well as honor the memory of Billy Graham.
Admission is free, and no tickets are needed for entry. A freewill offering will be received with a portion of the proceeds going to the Billy Graham Library. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. After the service, all in attendance will be invited to enjoy a time of food and fellowship and an opportunity to meet the performers.
