Kesher Israel Congregation of Chester County has been approved for $23,000 in Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency grants from the Nonprofit Security Grant Fund Program. Applicants may use the grant funding for security enhancements designed to protect the safety and security of the users of the facilities.
The grant funds may be used for a variety of security purposes, including safety and security planning, the purchase of safety and security equipment, the purchase of security-related technology, safety and security training, threat awareness and response training, upgrades to existing structures that enhance safety and security, vulnerability and threat assessments, specially-trained canines, and any other safety- or security-related project that enhances safety or security of the nonprofit organization.
