"Contiguous 2" Exhibition Set

Ophelia Chambliss's exhibition "Contiguous 2" will be featured in York College's Gallery Hall, located on the third floor of Marketview Arts, 37 W. Philadelphia St., York, through Saturday, May 1. The exhibition is open to the public free of charge.

This is the second installment of "Contiguous," Chambliss' social networking project designed to bring people together. The exhibition features several dozen portraits made with one continuous line. The second iteration focuses on people new to the community who want to know more about people, places, and things in York.

A 21-year resident of York County, Chambliss was partially motivated by her challenges to meet people in different roles throughout the county. Chambliss said "Contiguous" was designed with the purpose of creating an opportunity for diversity and dialogue through art for people throughout York County and to show how people share more in common and are all connected.

The hours of operation for Marketview Arts are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Parking is available next door at 25 W. Philadelphia St.
