Cornwall Iron Furnace, 94 Rexmont Road, Cornwall, will host its annual Cast Iron Cooking Demonstration on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Volunteers will demonstrate their cast iron cooking skills, making a variety of different foods over open fires. Foods will be available for sampling by attendees. Most of the demonstrators are members of The Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace. The Friends group supports the ongoing preservation of the furnace.
The Cornwall Iron Furnace and its museum and gift shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gift shop will offer discounts on a variety of cast iron cooking utensils and accessories in connection with the event.
