The Historic Society of the Cocalico Valley will present a program on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. on the Cornwall Iron Furnace and how iron was made in Pennsylvania in the early days of the country. Mike Emery, site administrator of the Cornwall Furnace historic site, will relate the history of iron production in the area from 1737 to 1883. The program will be held in the Ephrata Public Library, 550 S. Reading Road, Ephrata.
