Manheim Township Cub Scout Pack 184 will hold a Rocket Into Scouting kickoff event on Monday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Church, 301 St. Thomas Road, Lancaster. This will be a chance for elementary-age boys and girls to learn about Scouting, meet den members, participate in activities (most of which involve rockets) and sign up to become Scouts.
Every new Cub Scout who turns in a membership application before Saturday, Sept. 28, will receive their own rocket as part of the Rocket Into Scouting program. The new Scouts will be invited to launch their rockets at a Scout Celebration Day on Sept. 28.
